Event: Rebellz Season 2
Location: Envie on Changkat Bukit Bintang KL
Time: 8PM-10PM
The launch of Season 2 of Rebellz at Envie. The theme of the night is red carpet - the runway will be a pimped up red carpet with male model eye candy standing guard as bouncers at the side of the runway. We will be having a few rounds of drinks before the show for selected bloggers. E-mail me for invite details.

Event: Comedy Club KL presents KL Urban Stand Up Comedy
Time: 7:30PM - 9:30PM
The Comedy Club KL will have its official grand opening shows this month with two performances on July 23 and 24 at Velvet, Zouk KL. The three acts who will be performing will be Douglas Lim; Hung Le, the so-called “funniest refugee from Vietnam”; and Australian comic legend Greg Fleet, winner of countless awards at the Edinburgh and the Melbourne Comedy Fests, and one of the most in-demand performer/ writers in the business.

So, a couple of us bloggers and friends headed down for the recent media launch of Envie Club Lounge at Changkat Bukit Bintang on the 16th of April 2009. Then Werner’s. Then Barsonic. Yes, in the same night. Congratulations to Mike, Daniel & Ryzal for a great club. It has a certain air of sophistication about it, something you might expect in Upper East Side New York or a swanky part of the UK.
First off - the amazingly expensive and cool dancefloor:
You may notice that pictures are presented in Ridiculously High Resolution Where Possible. Yes, I’m trying to test my capabilities as a photoblogger to the maximum. It’s also because I love you readers so much, that I give it my all. (So, am I getting better at phototaking?) In future I may go for an even wider format…1024 x 768 photos even, maybe.
Renee Tay & Vanessa Gan, bloggers and clubbers. Actually, Vanessa is probably a clubber first, above everything else.
Above Left: Emily’s just came back to Malaysia recently for work. I fulfilled my patriotic duty by showing her that Malaysia is more fun that Singapore.
Above Right: Daniella Sya (tv host) and James Baum (singer/songwriter - who is most famous for two things - his song, ‘Skirts’, and for previously dating Marion Caunter). Haha. James is a really nice guy, and he sent me his new single via MP3 after I gave him my email address, the next day. Go check him out on myspace.com/jamesmbaum. He has a new single out called ‘Locked In Love’. James & Daniella are obviously dating, but claim to be ‘just friends’.

In case you’re wondering why she looks familiar, it’s Julie Hoi.
Yes, that’s her on the left. Julie’s pretty active in the modelling scene, and quite a frequent face to spot while clubbing.
She started off with some automotive modelling jobs, but she’s since moved on to bigger and better things. A few months back, you would have spotted her on a giant billboard in One Utama, and right now she frequently goes overseas for shoots and hosting jobs.

I also met Jorida Monique, from the 2nd Season of So You Think You Can Dance Malaysia. She has a blog btw. I quite like this photo. Turned out very well, the photographers they had and lighting setup was pretty good. I don’t know why I’m so pinkish though:

These are the guys from Fooyoh. Not the Digi thing, Fooyoh.com, an entertainment portal. Btw, they were the first with the name. One of the people here is Korean. Can you guess which?

Hey you blogger people. Me and the bloggers are attending this party on Thursday (16th April 2009)…There’s a new club launching called Envie Club Lounge at Changkat Bukit Bintang. This is a media launch, so there’s plenty of freeflow drinks. And yes, bloggers are media and we’ll have a special place set aside for us in addition to free drinks.

Advertlets + BloggerUnited Bloggers at Rebellz Launch @ Goddezz!

Last night was awesome! About 50 of us Advertlets bloggers went down to attend the launch of Rebellz, a new fashion line by Ju Nn and Jean, with blog ambassadors Sonia Yong and Natalia Ng. Advertlets was the media sponsor for the event, and personally, it always makes me happy to see when our bloggers launch something new Check out rebellz.com for some very nicely shot pics of the outfits.
