Beyonce Concert in Malaysia Cancelled (Or Postphoned?)

Update: (6:37PM): Official statement from Marctensia regarding the Beyonce concert is here. Summary: It is postponed. No future date announced. But it won’t be anytime from today till 14 November 2009 (because you can get refunds from 26th Oct 2009 till then). You wonder though, whether this will be postponed the same way Rihanna was “postponed?” (btw, understandably, Rihanna was organized by Pineapple Concerts, not Marctensia). My sympathies go out to Marctensia. It doesn’t seem like they were the ones that didn’t want this to happen.
Update: (6:08PM): Got off the phone with someone in Maxis. It is postponed indefinitely, and it doesn’t seem anytime too soon.
Update: (6:05PM): An official tweet from @maxiscomms says that: “Beyonce concert is postponed and NOT cancelled. We are getting a response from the Event Organizer right now to have an official statement.”
Update (3:39PM): Malaysia is not listed on the tour dates of Beyonce’s official site. But her album did go platinum in Malaysia, lol.
Breaking news. Beyonce’s concert in Malaysia has been postphoned. According to 3 different sources, “a Maxis marketing officer has said that it is postphoned, an an announcement will be made tomorrow.”
My sources are: Two people in Twitter, and several that I know in real life (involved as a sponsors/associates) who spoke on the phone with people from Maxis. This seems pretty final. 
Honestly, this does not bode well for Malaysia. Although I’m not a big Beyonce fan, she is Beyonce, a top international act - and I would have gladly paid to go. Stuff like this that just keeps happening makes international artistes skip Malaysia as a concert venue to go to Indonesia & Singapore instead. Tourism Malaysia HOWWW. Future of Malaysia HOWWW.

Did Rihanna Give Chris Brown Herpes Before He Gave Her A Beatdown?

Usually, I don’t care that much about celebrity gossip. But this has the makings of an epic disaster, so it’s worth writing about.
Rihanna left. Chris Brown, right. Peace signs? Yeah right.
As you all know, Chris Brown has been charged with assaulting Robyn Rihanna Fenty. Yes, the singer of ‘Umbrella’, ‘Disturbia’ & ‘Hate That I Love You’ is Miss Fenty. That’s her name.
And if you Pineapple ticket holders didn’t know by now, the Rihanna concert in Malaysia has been cancelled/postphoned (which sucks balls)and a replacement date (or not) will be announced within 2 weeks.
So, how bad are her injuries?
Rihanna is reportedly recovering from injuries including a bruised forehead, a split lip and bite marks on her arm.
Yes, bite marks. Chris, you so crazy.
This is far from a little allegation, Chris is currently out on US$50,000 bail, and has hired some high profile lawyer. Emphasis added is mine:
From Stuff.co.nz: Brown has hired Mark Geragos, who defended convicted murderer Scott Peterson and later Michael Jackson during his child molestation trial.
He is due to appear in court on March 5 to answer charges of making criminal threats and police said he remained under investigation for charges of domestic violence after being released on US$50,000 bail on Sunday.
I must say it is a very terrible choice of a lawyer. Kind of an admission there already, isn’t it?
Which brings to mind the question. Rihanna is hot. Why did Chris Brown give the beatdown on Rihanna?
The protein in milk helps you build muscle. Muscles which you then used to whack your girlfriend. What is this! Madness!
There are two theories: One, she gave him herpes.
From Inquistr: Sources allegedly close to Brown allege that the fight leading to the domestic violence incident occurred because Rihanna gave Chris Brown herpes.
And how did Rihanna end up with an STD to begin with? Claims are that she picked it up from Jay-Z!
Brown would have found out about the Herpes due to the symptoms: the signs of infection typically appear as one or more blisters on or around the genitals or rectum. The blisters break, leaving tender ulcers (sores) that may take two to four weeks to heal.

From Bossip.com: They were in the car leaving the Clive Davis party. While Chris was driving, he got a phone call from a young lady. Our source tells us that Rihanna knew that Chris had been messing around with this particular girl and she has, as of late, been the reason for many of their heated arguments. Rihanna got a glimpse of the phone, saw the name and number and immediately recognized who it was.
She went ballistic and began to “beat the sh*t” out of Chris (while driving). She was so uncontrollable, that Chris began to fight back in self defense, which ensued the fight. Rihanna’s rage stemmed from Chris’ questionable fidelity in the last few months.
My bet is on the herpes. The story is already ridiculous enough, so it seems appropiate.

Oh, and my favourite Rihanna song is the collaboration she did with Maroon 5, ‘If I never See Your Face Again’. Her voice is just perfect on that one.
And I’ll leave you with one final thought that’s been in my head for a while. I always found her pretty attractive, though something always struck me a bit as odd.

Disregarding her skin color, doesn’t Rihanna’s facial features look Chinese/Japanese to you? Let’s hope this cutie recovers soon!
