Beyonce Concert in Malaysia Cancelled (Or Postphoned?)

Update: (6:37PM): Official statement from Marctensia regarding the Beyonce concert is here. Summary: It is postponed. No future date announced. But it won’t be anytime from today till 14 November 2009 (because you can get refunds from 26th Oct 2009 till then). You wonder though, whether this will be postponed the same way Rihanna was “postponed?” (btw, understandably, Rihanna was organized by Pineapple Concerts, not Marctensia). My sympathies go out to Marctensia. It doesn’t seem like they were the ones that didn’t want this to happen.
Update: (6:08PM): Got off the phone with someone in Maxis. It is postponed indefinitely, and it doesn’t seem anytime too soon.
Update: (6:05PM): An official tweet from @maxiscomms says that: “Beyonce concert is postponed and NOT cancelled. We are getting a response from the Event Organizer right now to have an official statement.”
Update (3:39PM): Malaysia is not listed on the tour dates of Beyonce’s official site. But her album did go platinum in Malaysia, lol.
Breaking news. Beyonce’s concert in Malaysia has been postphoned. According to 3 different sources, “a Maxis marketing officer has said that it is postphoned, an an announcement will be made tomorrow.”
My sources are: Two people in Twitter, and several that I know in real life (involved as a sponsors/associates) who spoke on the phone with people from Maxis. This seems pretty final. 
Honestly, this does not bode well for Malaysia. Although I’m not a big Beyonce fan, she is Beyonce, a top international act - and I would have gladly paid to go. Stuff like this that just keeps happening makes international artistes skip Malaysia as a concert venue to go to Indonesia & Singapore instead. Tourism Malaysia HOWWW. Future of Malaysia HOWWW.

i dunno y some artists just keep cancelling their shows in msia. Black eyed peas, avril lavigne, pixie lott, all american rejects, lenka, jason mraz and many others have no problem stopping by n just abiding by the rules. We’ve paid big bucks 4 the show damnit! I was wondering is it possible to section off malaysia into parts?
1. GIVE PAS kelantan and terrenganu for them to manage and ask them to govern those states bythemselve. have their own givernment there. make them secluded.
2. I really think its time to divide the country. Looks like its in a mess right now.
3. I wonder why singapore is sooooo far ahead from us. Non islam leadership? no quota here and there? less politic issue?

Can someone tell me how I can get a Blackberry curve 8520? I went all the way to the maxis outlet to get mine but they told me that there is no stock due to “high demand”. Then when i ask if i could sign up to the service they said no because there is no stock for phones so can’t sign up for service now, must buy the phone first! Please step up! ya man! the blackberry internet service from hotlink is a super disappointment. I wanted to sign up for blackberry service with hotlink but how come i was told that i cannot sign up to the service because i must buy the blackberry curve 8520 phone? Totally agree!!! told me the blackberry service is out on the 20th and when i go to get it on that date, it says that the phone will only be available after the launch on 24 October so must wait until then. I went to the Midvalley maxis outlet n they told me they don’t hv the blackberry curve n its only available at the Garden’s maxis center n they told me that even though the maxis website says the Blackberry will be out on 20th, the guy at the outlet sed that it will only b launched this weekend n that it will only b available to the public next Monday! Hello!!!! If that’s the case why u ask for people to reserve and sed that the service will be ready by 20th October? Now its past 20th and still no phone and no service?! Empty promise!
