I haven’t been updating this blog as much as I wanted to recently. A significant amount of my time has been spent at home with a slim, dark beauty. Now that she’s gone, I can’t help but miss her. She wouldn’t tell me her name, but I named her Samantha.

Meet Samantha…

She was a…46″ LED TV from Samsung!

I got it for only a few weeks on loan from Samsung, as a gadget review opp. This TV costs 7 times the average salary of a fresh graduate here. But man, it is worth the price. This is probably my first in-depth hardware review ever. And I made sure to test like, everything.

Wii games, DVDs, AVI files (yes, it plays DivX compressed AVI files, through USB), MP3 files and the internal entertainment functions. There’s even support for the Apple iPod built in (I got to test it with the new iPod I won from Ruumz.

Here’s a better look at her:

As you can see we had lots of fun together….the full review is coming soon in parts, but check out some of the pics! In case you can’t tell, these are pictures taken off the LED TV itself:

Some of these screenshots will look very unfamiliar to you (if you’re a dizzy teenage girl, you can probably recognize one picture there, hehe). Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing a bit more about my experience with Samantha, okay, the Samsung LED TV (covering the TV specifications, features, picture quality) - and also about my tastes for some music, games and TV series/films that you are likely to have never heard of before (a lot of them pictured above), but are totally awesome.

There’s a certain band I’ve been listening to everyday for the past few months. Yes, that good.

All in all, seriously - you know how it is if you’ve dated someone really amazing before, and everyone after that just pales in comparision? (see the last item here). After Samantha, it’s going to be quite hard to get used to my old projection TV again. Sigh.

Other than that…

The past few weeks have been pretty busy. It’s been a nice mix of productivity and fun especially over the past few days… The PJ Challenge ‘09 Blogger’s Karnival, Kim & Josiah’s wedding, going down to Singapore to catch up with clients and bloggers, training for the upcoming MY-NPL Paintball Tournament with my team, the Yakuza Tora, the Ruumz Most Wanted Finalist Party (go vote for Advertlets Bloggers Derek & Amanda), watching Transformers 2 twice, and various Tweetups (woot, now got 600+ followers!)

By the way, most of these pictures show my new haircut (except the one with the headshot).

You like? So far, 90% of people (especially the girls) seem to think I look better with short hair. I think I look like, 5 years younger! Which makes me look my actual age, ironically enough.

L-R, Top to bottom: Kim & Josiah’s wedding (2 pics), Honeymeow’s birthday in Singapore, Transformers 2, PJ Challenge ‘09 Blogger’s Karnival, Headshot from a paintball, the Ruumz Most Wanted Finalist party

Ahem ahem. It has some to my attention, that some of you get the impression that all I do is party. Reading this blog though, I don’t blame you, haha.

Here’s my secret on how I actually get work done - I don’t sleep a whole lot. What you don’t see is the proposal writing at 3AM, the back to back meetings during the day…and lots of time hunched over my netbook. Today alone, I met 5 people today for work, which leaves me only nighttime for my blogging. Not very good for my insomnia.

What’s interesting though is that although I can’t reveal much here, the past few weeks have consisted of laying the foundation for some major developments with my web2.0 blog ad baby, Advertlets. While I’m itching to announce them soon, it will be revealed here in due time.

Let’s just say that I’m as excited about them as I was when I first started Advertlets, and that can only be a good thing for all of you involved.

More on these recent events (I know you want more pictures, don’t worry) AND the sexy Samantha over the next few weeks…Now if you excuse me, I have to cry.

There’s no more slim beauty waiting for me when I get home anymore…
