Come to the PJ Challenge ‘09 Blogger’s Karnival: Listen to Josh in real life!
Parties & Events June 12th, 2009
In conjunction with the 3rd Anniversary of PJ becoming a City, Kaspersky Lab, Proud Major Sponsors of PJ Challenge ‘09 would like to cordially invite you to “Bloggers Karnival: Feel Green in Knowledge City” in association with the Association fo Backpackers Malaysia (ABM) and MBPJ.
I, Josh Lim from Advertlets.com/Josh.my will be speaking at the Blog 411 session as part of the activities for the day. Check out the site at www.pjchallenge.com! Come by, say hi! Miss Chee and Miss Choe will be there too! We promise not to bore you. As we are very interesting, not to mention talented and beautiful people.
If you’re a PJ resident or blogger, you should come. Actually if you’re a non-blogger, you should come too. Or if you’re hot single female you should come too.
(Remember, you can recognize me from the pictures on this site if you want to meet me and give me your number, and subsequently ask me out for a date).
Here are some reasons why you should come (regardless of who you are!)
- We have some great blogger speakers lined up! Come see if they talk funny in real life!
- This is one of the biggest blogger gatherings ever in Malaysia!
- Bloggers are nice people, and you are a nice person too!
- Some bloggers are also very nice to look at. You can take pictures.
- Some bloggers are even coming down all the way from Penang and Kuching for the event!
- You can bring your friends and family too if you are shy to come alone.
- And even if you do come alone, I and the other bloggers will introduce you around! Promise!
And even if you’re not a blogger, we will teach you how to get started through the Blog 101 session. Bring your mom and dad, your aunties and uncles! We’ll make it very basic - even if you are unfamiliar with the terms, software used, etc, this will be a quick start introduction to blogging that you can definitely get a lot from.
See, banner so nice and colourful:
More about the event…
Where? The Karnival would be held at Malaysia’s first HYPEROFFICE and community mall, Jaya 33 in Petaling Jaya. It has ample parking space, and plenty of room for celebrating and learning.
Who? Anyone and everyone is invited, whether you’re already a blogger or if you’ll like to learn to blog. The event is family friendly, so do bring your family as well!
Why? Because it’s a celebration, for many reasons - of Petaling Jaya, of blogging and of life! This is a place for bloggers and non-bloggers alike to come together, and share. It’s about expression and fun, and a great time to be had by all.
Here’s what will be happening:
Blog 101: An Introduction to The Amazing World of Blogging
For all those who have yet to write their first post, or are very new to blogging. We will have multiple sessions of Blog 101 for 30 people per class throughout the day. Participants will learn how to set up their blog, learn terminology (eg, what is a blogroll? No, it’s not edible!) , find topics to blog about and basic blog promotion techniques.
Blog 411: A Blogger Sharing Session
Hear from Bloggers such as Amanda Choe, Ellie Chee, Niki Cheong, Josh Lim and more on diverse topics. Including: How to blog more humourously, the drama and emotions of blogging, secrets of the Malaysian blogosphere, how blogging relates to journalism and more. Get to know what makes some of your favourite bloggers tick, and ask the questions you always wanted to know.
It will then be followed up by a exciting elimination-style quiz session for a lot of participants, as well as a live blogging contest. Fantastic prizes are up for grabs, including Acer Laptops & Netbooks & more!
