New Facebook Scams Spread Via Facebook Messages: Brunga.at, Goldbase.be, GreenBuddy.be, etc

Sometime back, you may remember that I blogged about the Facebook ‘Error Check System’ malware. There are now new ones that have cropped up, and most disturbingly, they seem to be able to send messages just as if a friend is sending them. The message will usually consist of a single URL, asking you to visit it, and is usually sent to multiple (random) receipients at one time. Subject lines can be ‘Hello’ , or ‘Look at this’.

If you visit the URL (don’t!), it will lead you to a page that looks suspiciously like the Facebook login page - but isn’t:

The following sites are known scams, according to various sources, including Mashable.com.

silvertag.be
picoband.be
brunga.at
goldbase.be
araps.at
vispace.be
edbuddy.be
orangefan.be
mymarket.be
pinkamigo.be

DO NOT VISIT THE SITES ABOVE, AND BY ALL MEANS, DO NOT ENTER YOUR DETAILS.
