So Josh! Tell our audience: What’s up with your blog recently la?

Well folks, here’s an update on where this blog is headed, and future developments…

Design

From the simple two column theme when it was launched, I have now switched to a three column (2 sidebar) layout. This is to accomodate more content and widgets on the main page.

I will probably look into doing a header graphic, the ‘headerless’ theme currently, while minimalist and clean, does not project the branding of the site strongly enough.

Content Development & Pacing

I’ve averaged about 0.47 posts per day since the start of this blog on January 6th, which is roughly about one post every other day. I intend to get it up to perhaps 0.75 posts per day (eg, about 4-5 posts per week).

Or, I may keep at that average and try to write more quality posts. See how. It’s either more quality posts or more frequent posts. Which would you suggest?

I’ve also started bringing my camera around more often, so you can look forward to more original photos. Blog traffic spiked significantly upon posting the F1 Girls post. Apparently you people like to see pictures of pretty girls, I don’t know why. What would you like to see more of here?

Blog Structure: New additions, Ask Josh! and Best of Josh.my

Writing style has not changed significantly, however, I’ve added in a new section called ‘Ask Josh’, a blog advice column which will likely be a weekly feature. You can submit your questions anonymously at a special page for ‘Ask Josh’. While this also means this may attract more emo or sexually troubled people here, I believe it is for the best.

For recent blog readers to discover some of the better posts posted recently, I’ve added in a new section called ‘Best of Josh.my’ so that the more special posts (eg original photos, high comment inducing posts).

So in conclusion Josh, what do you have to say to your readers?
