Totally didn’t expect it, but guess what - I got quoted in the Straits Times Singapore! This was due to my blog post on the Facebook ‘Error Check System’ malware.
In true web 2.0 fashion, a few days ago, I was contacted by journalist Serene Luo via Facebook message who requested my phone number for a short phone interview.
Was hoping they could include the URL
But it’s cool enough that I got quoted in the papers - even though my blog is less than 2 months old. Thanks Serene!
Although Facebook has shut down the application and some variants, I’m still getting quite a few hits to the blog post. from search requests and sites such as the Sophos (the antivirus company) blog, StumbleUpon and AllFacebook. All in all, there seems to be over 10,000 unique visitors who came to this site specifically due to one blog post about the Facebook ‘Error Check System’. Insane!
Also of course, thanks for Jayrus Lee for the scan above! You can click the image to view the full size version. Also, the online (shorter version) of the article can be found on the Straits Times website, here.
