Feb 2009: Low The Yee Sang, Reebok Strap SG Launch
Parties & Events February 11th, 2009
Hello! Here’s a quick recap of what I’ve been up to…in reverse chronological order. I will be posting more on what happened in January soon….
06 February 2009 : Low The Sang

Bloggers @ Lowing The Sang!
I just made it in time for the gathering…they left me A BIT OF FOOD BUT NO YEE SANG. Kidding, love you guys! I just returned from Singapore for a business trip a few hours before the gathering, so I was glad to be able to make it. However, I missed quite a bit of the insanity, as pictured below:

Above: Crazy pics, last one is me and Eu Veng who organized the event.
However, most importantly, I got to take part in an important Chinese culture – karaoke. Maximum emo-ness below.

Great meeting all you guys!
Next up (remember this is in reverse chronological order - I left to Singapore the next day after the Reebok launch [see below] and still managed to come back in time for the Yee Sang Gathering [just two hours after arriving back in KL]. And after the Yee Sang gathering, I went to Zouk! The next day, I slept for many, many hours.)
04 February 2009: The Reebok Strap SG Launch
We were invited by Reebok to attend the launch their new limited edition kicks, the Reebok Strap SG. It was held at Sole What in Mid Valley The Gardens. Thanks to Reebok for the invite…and t-shirts, and the free flow of soft drinks and beer!
Btw also, the bloggers in attendance who wrote the best post would win a pair of Reeboks! I’ll leave it to you guys la…

I also met Satra Diana, the new editor of Envy Magazine. Envy Magazine is a new niche publication, modelled along the lines of New York hipster magazines. It that has gotten some good reviews from photographers and fashion enthusiasts so far. Amanda Choe was featured in an issue too. Go pick up the next issue when it comes out.

Me and Satra. She said she was sick that day, but she looks good, yeah?

Above: Red, Black, Blue & White seemed to be favourite colours…
More bloggers were supposed to join us actually…including Shermaine, Jia Shin & Adele…That’s Shermaine’s dissapointed face above because she, Jia Shin and Adele were all dressed up but didn’t make it on time! You can read more about it on her blog.

With the ladies and the candy coloured shoes...Such a happy shot.
And a final shot at Sole What…

We so cute!
Shortly after the Reebok event, we decided to do dinner…and a yee sang session! The “westernized” Yee Sang from Delicious was quite good actually…very fresh sashimi, and the rest of it (noodles/nuts/etc) was nice too (though I’m not sure what some of it was) and for a reasonable price of less than RM30.

I remember Amanda saying that the nice thing about having yee sang with friends instead of family, is that you get to wish for much naughtier things...Hehe!
One complaint about the Delicious Yee Sang was that it was a too long. See below, it’s at least a metre long…Seriously wonder why they don’t cut it first…made for a fun challenge though…

Okay, more soon. Meantime it’s 5:00 am…I should sleep….
