Something funny to share:

Met recently with one of my high school seniors after the Advertlets Bloggers Paintball Tournament recently. Surprisingly, it seems he’s now in the same industry as me (online advertising), and we had a good chat on industry stuff like CPM, CPC, CPA and some other various WTFs.

Anyway, here’s the gist: He was invited for an interview by a company which directly competed with the current one he was working at. After getting the permission of his boss (No, I don’t know how! That’s surprising in itself), he went for the interview.

During the interview, the boss of that company seemed more preoccupied with questions about the company he currently worked for than his professional capablities - like what were their sales figures, were they profitable, what clients did he bring in, etc. As it was pretty unethical to reveal stuff like that, he brushed it aside. Here’s the kicker - the boss actually banged on the table and shouted : “How do you expect me to hire you if you can’t tell me simple details like that!”. Yes, on the very first interview, and without even an offer letter.

Needless to say, he didn’t take the job. Haha!

Can’t help it, but please change the spelling to subterfuge. Subterfudge sounds like something that would be coming out of my ass. Or an adjective describing ***** ***.

I’ve encountered numerous companies like that, rude and obnoxious, and even more surprising are some of them are *actually* big ones.

These people obviously don’t understand the meaning of “Supply & Demand”.

Hahaha… It’s funny! The boss let him go for the interview because he trusts your friend and want to play along with the other boss. “Who ask you want to curi my staff?!?! Serve you right!”
